Constructed from highly durable GCr15 bearing steel, this set can be used to both cut new threads and chase/renew existing threads in a variety of materials, including carbon steel, cast iron, stainless steel, aluminum, brass, and copper.

The cutting teeth are professionally CNC (computer numerical controlled) machined and heat-treated to Rockwell hardness 60 HRC, ensuring aggressive, clean, and precise threading results. The taps and dies feature a tapered design, allowing for an easier start and preventing over-threading.

The set includes 27 dies for external threads and 27 taps for internal threads, as well as an adjustable tap wrench, a T-handle tap holder, an adjustable die wrench, a flat screwdriver, and two thread pitch identifiers, all housed in a sturdy storage case for convenient storage and portability.

The metric taps and dies range from M3 x 0.5 to M12 x 1.75, while the numbered and standard fractional taps and dies for coarse threads (UNC) cover sizes from #4 - 40 NC to 1/2" - 13 NC, and the fine threads (UNF) range from #10 - 32 NF to 1/2" - 20 NF. Additionally, the set includes a 1/8" - 27 NPT pipe threader.
